Black Bush is first of all one of the most famous and finest Irish whiskeys!

But it is also a folk-band from Kiel in the North of Germany. Black Bush first played together 1985 at a festival in Belgium, and decided to stay together as a band. Members changed of course, but two of the original set, Michael and Detlev, are still with the band, plus Andreas, who joined in 1987.

The band plays music from Ireland, Scotland and England and sometimes their own songs and tunes. The style is mostly traditional, but we are open to everything, as long as we think it can do any good to our work.
